Speed Limit 5 mph?  Does anyone really go 5 miles per hour?  They do if you post our speed limit 5 mph signs!  So if you don't want people speeding on your property or in your parking lots or at your schools, then slow them all the way down to 5 mph.  If if they are going 6 mph, then just walk up next to their car, tap on the window and tell them to slow down!

35 mph speed limit signs with a minimum of Hi Intensity Prismatic reflective sheeting are now required by across the country on all public roads and including all private property where vehicles are invited.  That means all businesses with parking lots where your employees or customers can travel.  So when you are ordering speed limit 35 mph signs, make sure you have the correct reflective sheeting to meet federal standards.

40 is the new 30.  That may be true in life, but not when it comes to MUTCD approved speed limit signs.  Make sure you are compliant with your state and federal laws by having the correct speed limit signs in place.  Even if you have private property, if you allow the public to travel on your property, you need to meet MUTCD requirements.  And that means that a speed limit 40 sign must have a minimum of HIP reflective sheeting.  This protects you and the drivers.

Sammy Hagar made this street sign famous with his hit song from the 80's "I can't drive 55".  Speed limits have changed a lot since then, but this is still the most common speed limit sign that we sell.  And hopefully you won't take his lyrics to heart.  If you see a Speed Limit 55 sign posted, keep it at 55.  And don't try to blame Sammy Hagar if you get stopped by a cop.  I can promise you, that ain't going to work.
