The PL-3 Hydraulic Post Puller is our tried and true hand operated hydraulic post puller. This time tested puller is designed to provide the power of hydraulics in an easy to use portable platform that takes all the effort out of heavy duty post pulling jobs. This is a universal post puller that can easily remove U channel posts, round posts, square tube posts and more. The PL-3 Hydraulic Post Puller is designed to pull posts up to 4" x 4" wooden posts or 4" x 6" H column beams. Do not overload the post puller. It is designed as a 3 ton puller.
***Must purchase Detachable Puller Chain separately or use your own chain. Chain must be at least 3/8" grade 80 chain with a minimum working load capacity of 3 tons.
The hand portable PL-3 weighs only 53 lbs. (24 kg) and is easily operated by one person. Just follow these four easy steps.
The puller is positioned with the post between its feet. The hydraulic cylinder is collapsed and the hook removed from its carrying position.
A puller chain assembly or your own chain is placed around the post and the puller's hook attached to the post grabber. The safety restraint is then attached to the cable eye above the hook.
The hydraulic valve is closed and the operator activates the hydraulic pump which produces over 3 tons of pressure to pull the post. In two minutes a post 3 feet long (0.9 m) is pulled. The safety restraint is removed after the post starts moving.
After pulling the post, the PL-3 is returned to its carrying position.
